High School Visits
Due to the current COVID-19 social distancing precautions, Arts Central has suspended all in-person events and engagement activities and has moved to online contact. See below for our new online opportunities to learn more about FASS and our programs!
SFU’s Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASS) offers two programs to help high school students experience university study and life: Discover FASS: The on-campus visit and FASS in the Class: The off-campus visit.
Accolades for FASS's high school visits
We've received a lot of positive feedback from participants of our programs. Here are some of our favourites:
“SFU easily has one of the best community engagement and outreach initiatives to post-secondaries in B.C. We sincerely appreciate the thought your staff have put into helping our students to understand what it is like to be an SFU student.”
“We love working with the team and deeply appreciate the incredible advice and experiences they provide for our students every year.”
“It was a wonderful experience, and I will definitely bring my students again.”

FASS e-Sampler
The FASS e-Sampler is your opportunity to explore different topics at SFU's Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences. We will be offering several e-Lectures with our outstanding professors covering a variety of topics within the humanities and social sciences. These free sessions will give your students the opportunity to explore and reflect on different pathways they may wish to pursue in their post-secondary education and allow them to engage with our professors directly.
FASS in the Class: The off-campus visit… now online!
Bring Simon Fraser University and FASS to your classroom virtually! Our graduate students are excited to meet your students to share their research and expertise in a humanities and social sciences subject. This year, we are also offering general FASS presentations and post-secondary pathways presentations (geared for CLE10) online! Book your presentation today!
