The Greg Younging Conversation 2022

May 17, 2022

Métis writer, editor, environmental philosopher, Warren Cariou in conversation with Cree-Métis scholar Deanna Reder

Greg Younging was a nationally and internationally renowned expert on Indigenous publishing and a tireless voice and advocate for raising Indigenous voices in Canada.

In celebration of his work and his life, the Canadian Institute for Studies in Publishing and SFU's Publishing Publishing are deeply honoured for the second year to host The Greg Younging Conversation.

Greg was a true bridge-maker and could bring together even the most disparate voices together, even if it was just for a short conversation.

In true Greg style, this event will be a conversation as Warren Cariou, Métis writing, editor, professor, environmental philosopher and long-time friend of Greg's, Métis writer will be joined by Deanna Reder, Indigenous scholar and chair of Indigenous Studies at SFU. Time will be provided to open the conversation to all in attendance.

The Greg Younging Conversation takes place annually during the first week of May.
