Education & Prevention
Part of the SVSPO's mission is develop and implement a comprehensive educational strategy to equip SFU and FIC students, faculty, and staff with the awareness, knowledge, and skills to effect social change towards ending sexualized violence.
Drawing upon promising practices in the field of sexualized violence prevention and related fields, we aim to develop educational programming that is:
- Responsive to the unique needs of all audiences
- Sequenced developmentally
- Presented in varying formats (eg. workshops, presentations, campaigns, events, digital and print resources)
- Inclusive of multiple and intersecting identities
- Developed collaboratively with university and community partners
- Integrated into existing curricula and programming
