Sessional Postings

Beedie follows a standard academic policy of two year course planning when assigning instructors. Sessional Instructor openings may be posted up to six terms in advance and postings remain open for two weeks. All positions are subject to budgetary approval and sufficient enrollment. Only those shortlisted will be contacted. Please check back often for updates.


Teaching Assistant Postings

Spring 2022 Term

The application period for the Spring 2022 Beedie School of Business Teaching Assistant, Open Lab Assistant, and Marker positions was from November 1 to 15, 2021.

A subsequent position has opened for Spring 2022 for a TA for BUS 645 G100 Capstone Simulation (Segal). The position is open for application from November 16 to 30 (end of day). The appointment will be January 4 to April 30, 2022.

A subsequent position has opened for Spring 2022 for a TA for BUS 606 G100 Financial Management (Segal). The position is open for application from November 22 to December 6 (end of day). The appointment will be January 4 to April 30, 2022.


The qualifications for TA are as follows:

  • Sufficient knowledge in the discipline of the course to interpret the course material (please refer to the SFU Academic Calendar and course outlines)
  • Sufficient written and oral communication skills, including leading discussions and encouraging questions
  • Good time management and lecture-tutorial content coordination skills
  • Familiarity with MS Word and Excel
