Getting Set Up

Computing ID FAQs (for staff and faculty including retirees)

SFU Computing ID and Email

Your SFU Computing ID gives you access to SFU Connect for email and calendaring, the Student Information System, your payroll information, e-learning systems such as Canvas, campus labs, online Library services, and a variety of other systems.

Shortly before your start date, you will be provided with your SFU employee ID which you will need to set up your SFU Computing ID. An email from IT Services will contain instructions for setup. This email will be sent to the email that you provided at the time of hire.

Please be sure to return your signed appointment letter and completed personnel forms as these are required before Faculty Relations can create your SFU Employee ID.

Note that if you have previously had an SFU Computing ID, SFU Employee ID, and SFU Email, you will be able to access these once your paperwork has been processed.
