Waiting for your offer
After you complete your application
- When you apply to SFU residences and pay your $50 deposit fee, you are automatically added to the housing queue
OFFER + WAITLIST
- Offers are made on an ongoing basis to all admitted and eligible students:
- Undergraduate housing: based on our priority housing processes and your application complete date
- Graduate students and Family housing: based on your application complete date
- Once we have the majority of our spaces accepted, the waitlist will be available on your MyPlace@SFU and you can see your place on the waitlist
- Throughout the room offering process we continue to send offers when space becomes available to the next eligible student in the application queue
- Once the term begins we occasionally have rooms that become available. We will contact the waitlist by email to see who may still be interested in housing
- If you are still looking for housing a few weeks before move in or into the term, please contact us at housing@sfu.ca to enquire about possible space
Waitlist
- a waitlist number is generated once residence is tentatively full for the upcoming term
- new applications are added to the waitlist ongoing and as they become eligible
- your wait list number may fluctuate as eligible students who applied before you are admitted and become eligible
