My research focuses on understanding surface deformation and slope instability in high-mountain and cryospheric environments using satellite remote sensing. Having worked with InSAR time-series techniques, including PS and SBAS, to study glacier motion, freeze–thaw deformation and landslide dynamics, and to identify spatial and temporal patterns of ground movement, my experience includes developing automated InSAR workflows for regional-scale landslide monitoring and exploring data-driven approaches for classifying deformation time series. I use numerical and hydraulic modelling to understand debris-flow and glacial lake outburst flood processes, enabling me to link observed surface changes to their potential hazard implications.

I am interested in developing an integrated approach to studying deformation and instability in glacial, permafrost, and glacio-volcanic environments combining multi-temporal InSAR with other remote sensing observations, field measurements, and physical modelling to better understand how slopes, glaciers, and frozen ground respond to changing environmental conditions. A particular focus would be on identifying subtle precursory deformation signals, understanding the processes driving their evolution, and translating these observations into practical approaches for geohazard assessment and early warning.
