June 2026 Convocation

Happy Convocation!

Celebrating FASS Graduands

To all FASS graduands, congratulations on your upcoming graduation! You did it! We are so excited to celebrate with you - first at your convocation ceremony, and then at your reception!

Celebrate your achievements and graduation at the FASS convocation ceremony and afterwards at the FASS reception. All events are held at Simon Fraser University's Burnaby campus on June 11 and June 12, 2026.

In-person Convocation Ceremonies

Part 1. The ceremony

This is the moment you have been waiting for, graduands! We cannot wait to see you cross the stage. SFU Convocation ceremonies happen in Convocation Mall, a beautiful, open air space in the centre of Burnaby campus, where SFU students have been graduating since the 1960s.

Graduating students will receive emails that direct them to collect their robes and gather together for the procession to Convocation Mall. Guests will gather and choose seating to await the ceremonies.

Please Note: SFU has a ticketing system for guests and a bag policy for all Convocation attendees. Read about guest tickets here and read about the bag policy here.
