Data Visualization for University Enrolments
By: Hanieh Barazandeh
Course: IAT 355 Introduction to Visual Analytics
Project description: In this project I use interactive visualizations to explore the following questions:
- How is the international student population changing in Canada?
- How and why is the gender ratio changing in different fields of study?
I chose this topic, because being an international student in Canada myself, I was curious to learn more about the trends and patterns of international enrolments. And I believe, given the increasing number of international students and their significant impact on Canadian economy, different government departments and universities would be interested in these patterns too. So I focused on them as my audience.
