Areas of interest

Machine learning and data analytic approaches for assessment of multi-temporal, seismic and infrasonic data in the Garibaldi Volcanic Belt BC, and other geological settings.

The goal of the project is to create and implement tools for the analysis of multiple geophysical data coming from various volcanoes located in Canada and Ecuador. These tools will be based on the application of statistical and machine learning methods to construct systems that help in the monitoring of various phenomena such as potential volcanism, avalanches, earthquakes, and so on. The research project will aid in the creation of a Canadian Natural Hazards Data portal for the public to access and explore.
