Join us for Book Chat on March 25!
Thanks to all those who came to join us for our first book chat! To honour Black History Month, we had a great conversation about the various books by Black authors or stories from Black voices or experiences. You can see the full list of the titles discussed below, along with some links directly to the SFU Library catalogue where you can borrow them yourself!
Our next book chat will take place on Thursday, March 25 at 2 PM. The theme for this month is “reading for wellness”.
Reading for wellness is a very broad topic. Feel free to share titles that help you maintain a sense of well-being. This can include non-fiction and self-help titles like Wintering by Katherine May or Self-Compassion: The Proven Power of Being Kind to Yourself by Kristin Neff, or other fiction titles.
Reading for wellness doesn't have to specifically be a self help book, but any book that you can come back to that maybe grounds you or relaxes you. Is there a genre or author you return to when you feel a need to reset? Let us know!
To learn more about Book Chats and to stay in the loop, you can join the mailing list by sending an email to Rachel Wong.
We hope you can join us on March 25, and happy reading!
