Like many students, I entered university uncertain about my academic direction and the path I wanted to pursue. I found my place in FASS through the School for International Studies. The diversity of courses, small class sizes, and the support I received from faculty and peers was instrumental to my success. This was one of the best choices I could have made, helping me develop personally, professionally, and academically.

Add a minor
A minor is a secondary subject area you can study in your degree.
Tip: you can earn a degree with two minors
Complete a certificate
Another layer of personalization, certificates let you add a specialization to your studies.
Bonus: courses from your degree can be put towards your certificate
Do a joint major
You can combine study areas within FASS as well as other SFU faculties.
My studies challenged me to think more critically, ask better questions, and better understand the communities and systems around me, lessons I know I’ll carry with me long after graduation.
