FASS Undergraduate Research Symposium

Led by undergraduate students with the support of SFU's Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, the FASS Undergraduate Research Symposium is centred on highlighting and celebrating the diversity and interdisciplinarity of FASS undergraduate research.

The FASS Undergraduate Research Symposium (FURS) is a conference for all FASS undergraduate students to share their research in a supportive and welcoming environment. Whether you are a student working as a research assistant, an honours student with a thesis project, or someone who is just starting out on their research journey, this symposium is for you.

The inaugural FASS Undergraduate Research Symposium will be held in-person the Student Union Building (SUB) Ballroom at SFU's Burnaby campus. The symposium is free to attend and open to all students, faculty, and staff.

Following the symposium in the evening, please also stay and join us for the Terry Fox Lecture on Hope, featuring University of Manitoba professor Dr. Michael Yellow Bird.
