Job opportunity - Postdoc/Research Associate, Urban Public Health Network, University of Saskatchewan, Saskatoon, Sask.

The UPHN and the Department of Community Health and Epidemiology at the University of Saskatchewan are seeking a Postdoctoral Fellow and/or Research Associate to coordinate and advance the research agenda of the UPHN.

The position will be anchored by a cornerstone project which the Fellow will spearhead working to streamline the national collection, integration, and analysis of urban health surveillance data in Canada so that it can more readily be used to do comparative research at the city level.

The ideal candidate will have completed a Ph.D. in epidemiology or related discipline and possess basic proficiency in each of the following Public Health Core Competencies: analysis and evaluation of public and population health and health-related policies and programs; analysis of data, evidence, and critical thinking; and knowledge translation.

The position is a full-time two-year position renumerated at $50,000-year, including benefits. The Fellow will also be provided with a budget of up to $10,000 for project-related research, training, and travel expenses.
