THIS IS A REMOTE POSITION (MUST LIVE IN AND BE AUTHORIZED TO WORK IN THE USA OR CANADA)

PGP is looking for a high-performing, professionally fluent in French, self-driven program manager with experience working with cross-functional teams to manage our growing global health portfolio. 

PGP has partnered with UNICEF and the Yale Institute for Global Health to create the Vaccination Demand Observatory (VDO). The Vaccination Demand Observatory which equips countries with customized social listening programs to boost vaccine demand and address misinformation.

The Program Manager reports to the Director of Global Health Programs and is responsible for planning, management and oversight of program and client management activities, including working closely with UNICEF Country Offices to implement the VDO nationally. This role will be communicating across several time zones. Therefore, the ideal candidate will need to have the ability to work flexible, non-traditional hours. 

The ideal candidate is passionate about creating positive social change and is adept at simultaneously balancing ongoing projects, daily tasks, and urgent requests. The Program Manager interacts with many different team members and clients on a daily basis so the warmth and kindness used in daily work really matters. 

The job of the Program Manager entails activities pertaining to, but not limited to:

Project Management:

  • Manage cross-discipline project timelines and ensure client deliverables are on time;

  • Provide reports on progress to PGP staff and clients;

  • Consult with senior leadership to develop task lists and maintain a clear view of the work;

  • Track tasks and deliverables using project management tools (Monday.com, excel, etc.);

  • Communicate effectively with team members in multiple departments to ensure successful knowledge/information transfer between clients and PGP staff and vise versa;

  • Maintain a high attention to detail on all internal and external materials, reports and final products;

  • Support the growing PGP team by helping to identify and solve internal process challenges related to the creative workflow and client reporting process;

  • Approach challenges in a  solution-oriented, creative, and proactive way. Identify problems and their solutions in the same breath;

Partner Management:

  • Assist Director of Global Health Programs and other program managers in maintaining and growing partner relationships;

  • Communicate partner feedback to PGP team members;

  • Communicate directly with partners on a daily basis;

  • Assist in the development of training materials;

  • Assist in the development of various reports for partners, including, but not limited to: monthly media reports, quarterly progress reports and annual campaign reports.

  • Work with other PGP staff to create presentation decks for partners and lead pitches and/or progress reporting meetings;

  • Assist in managing partner expectations related to project timelines, budgets, and scope of deliverables.

Required Qualifications and skills:

  • 2–4 years relevant experience

     

    • Professional fluency in English AND French

     

  • Experience working in international development, ideally global health;

  • Experience working with international organizations (e.g., UN agencies, international NGOs, multilaterals etc.);

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills;

  • Experience managing multiple priorities and rapidly evolving projects requiring a high degree of organizational and communication skills, flexibility and agility;

  • Experience managing complex projects across cross-functional teams;

  • Experience developing and implementing strategic marketing communication plans; 

Preferred Qualifications and skills:

  • Low- or middle-income country work experience; 

  • Experience with capacity building and training;

  • Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, Russian or Spanish);

  • Experience in marketing/advertising/PR account management;

  • Experience working on topics such as vaccine hesitancy and vaccine misinformation; ;

  • Ability to analyze advertising/digital media metrics and report on them;

  • Experience working on video production and/or website development projects;

  • Experience working on creative tasks with a team to bring a creative vision to life;
