Volunteer Opportunity - SFU Let's Talk Science

September 20, 2019

We are currently looking for more students to join Let's Talk Science program at SFU.

Let's Talk Science is a national charitable organization that promotes science education to Canadian youth. Let’s Talk Science at SFU began over 20 years ago. Since then, SFU students have volunteered to deliver free, fun, hands-on workshops to many local schools (K-12) and community groups. Our volunteers' contributions usually range between 2 and 25 hours per semester and include activities both on and off-campus. Our work has received great recognition from school teachers and community organizers. We experience an increasing number of requests each year. We are hoping to get more students on board so that we can reach and inspire more kids in BC!

Volunteering with Let’s Talk Science will build your communication skills, promote a stronger community around you and looks great on a CV. If you love Science (which I have no doubt about) and would love to have some experience teaching and working with kids, please do not hesitate to join our team!

You can join us by signing up and creating an account on our volunteer Portal here: http://volunteer.letstalkscience.ca/VolunteerRegistration.aspx

Soon after we receive your application, we will get in touch and get you started! If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us at ltsevent@sfu.ca. We will be having a volunteer orientation at Burnaby campus on Wednesday, October 2nd at 6:00pm in C9051 (Trottier Studio), you can sign up at https://forms.gle/DpjuvMrmsDDyy8C9A.
