Faculty Council (FC)

Comprised of all voting faculty members, as well as the Director of Administration and Operations, the Director of Education Programs, and the Recording Secretary; the latter three are ex-officio, non-voting positions. Other FHS non-voting faculty may attend Council meetings and participate in discussions, but may not vote. The Faculty Council considers matters of policy or academic appointments, discusses and approve documents developed by the Faculty Executive Committee, informs voting faculty members of University-wide academic issues, discusses and raises questions as they arise, ratifies Standing Committee recommendations, excluding recommendations from the Tenure Promotion Committee), and addresses other academic or research infrastructure matters in the Faculty of Health Sciences.

The Faculty Council meetings are held on the third Thursday of each month from September to June.
