Sessional Positions

The following Sessional appointment is expected to be available in the Department of Molecular Biology and Biochemistry during the FALL 2022 semester:                    September 7 to December 19, 2022.

Sessional Instructor

MBB 201-3                Biochemistry of the Cell
                                  Salary: $6,817 per term

                                  3 hrs. of lecture at Burnaby Campus

                                  Wednesday and Friday from 2:30 pm - 3:50 pm

Course description: An introduction to cellular processes with an emphasis on protein structure and function. Topics that will be explored include transcription, translation and protein synthesis, basic metabolic pathways, biomembranes, organelles, vesicle transport, the cytoskeleton and cell signaling.

Minimum qualifications:  M.Sc. in molecular biology, biochemistry, or related discipline.  

Recommended qualifications:  Ph.D. in a relevant discipline, teaching experience at the post-secondary level.
