Using Eventbrite
Eventbrite is a key tool used by SFU faculty and department communicators for event management and promotion. For workshops, lectures, or public events - use this tool to create event listings, manage registrations, and track attendance.
Note: You must manually copy your events to LiveWhale to add them to the SFU Events Calendar. Events hosted through Eventbrite will not be automatically added.
Getting Your Event Money
- Follow the instructions in this guide to export a Sales summary report for the event.
- Contact banking@sfu.ca using the sample message below and attach a copy of the corresponding Eventbrite transaction report.
Hello [name],
We are expecting an Eventbrite payout of $[amount] for our [event title] on [event date] under the "[name of the sub-account]" organization. The transaction report is attached for your reference. Please have the funds transferred to our account [your department account].
