Position description

The School of Interactive Arts & Technology (SIAT) is posting for teaching assistants. Please see below for the listing of courses  and TA qualifications for the term, or for complete details of the positions available please visit the application system at https://internal.fcat.sfu.ca/appointments/

All TA positions are in the Teaching Support Staff Union (TSSU) and are subject to sufficient enrollment and final budgetary authorization.

Logging in to the FCAT Application System:

Important: Access to the FCAT Application System is restricted to SFU accounts and requires authentication through MFA and the SFU VPN if you are not connected to the SFU network.

If you have an SFU computing ID:

  1. Ensure your SFU account is enrolled in multi-factor authentication (MFA)
  2. Be signed in to SFU's virtual private network (SFU VPN) if not on the SFU network
  3. Connect to the FCAT internal application system
  4. Click on "I have an SFU Computing Account" and log in using your username and password.

NOTE: If this is your first time on the system using your SFU account, you will be prompted to enter your name, employee (student) number and other details.

Instructions for External Applicants 

Please complete the External Application TA Form and submit it, along with your cover letter and resume, to siat_exta@sfu.ca  

External applicants refer to individuals who are not full-time employees of the University and who are not students in any of the GTA 1, GTA 2, or UTA categories.
