Exploria: The Travel Planner
Mobile App
By: Stephy Wong, Ariel Tsang
Course: IAT 359 Mobile Computing
Description: Many travelers face challenges when organizing their travel plans, often needing to switch between various apps for different tasks, such as note-taking, navigation, and scheduling. Exploria is a travel planner app that aims to provide an all-in-one platform for passionate travelers to customize their itinerary while enhancing their trip experience by providing useful information about their travel destination and a space for them to record their memorable moments.
The main features include a news API, allowing users to receive updated news according to their current location, a weather API forecasting the weather conditions of the upcoming week of their travel destination, and a map feature allowing users to add new markers to the map and create a custom route for their itinerary. In addition, the journal feature allows users to keep track of their adventures by adding notes and attaching photos from their gallery and camera.
