myOsteo
Mobile App
By: Kate Luong, Frentzen Taslim
Course: IAT 359 Mobile Computing
Description: Osteoporosis is a condition in which bone loss outpaces bone formation, leaving bones fragile and prone to fractures. Managing this condition can be daunting, especially between medical visits, where continuous guidance and monitoring are often lacking. To bridge this gap, myOsteo serves as a health-tracking app, specifically designed to motivate patients with osteoporosis in managing their bone health at home. The app provides personalized daily goals for exercise and nutrient intake—such as calcium, vitamin D, and protein—tailored to the user’s age, gender, weight, and height, along with suggested activities to help achieve these goals.
