Faculty & staff dashboard
SFU’s Faculty and Staff Dashboard is a website dedicated to supporting our outstanding faculty and staff in their teaching and work, supported by the What’s On newsletter, which highlights the latest content every Tuesday and Thursday.
If you have something timely and relevant to share with SFU faculty and staff, please submit it to the dashboard for amplification. We welcome content submissions from across all SFU faculties, departments, portfolios, programs and campuses.
Submit content
- Content submitted to the dashboard should be relevant to all staff and faculty.
- Please note that content must be hosted on a department, faculty, program or VP website before it can be posted to the dashboard. If you do not have a news website / blog, please get in touch with Jeff Hodson.
- We aim to post your content within one working day of submission. Please reach out to Jeff Hodson if you have any questions.
We want to make it easy for our audience to find important information they need. Before submitting your content, take a moment to consider if it is relevant to faculty or staff members across our three campuses. Some examples of content we are looking for include:
- Ambassador Stories: Stories about individuals or teams and their contribution to SFU’s priorities, how they go above and beyond to create community, advance SFU’s mission and make the university a great place to work and learn.
- Achievements, Appointments and Announcements: Examples include profile of a new or celebrated faculty or staff member, calls for award nominations, information about a new faculty-led initiative, personnel changes and more.
- Operational Updates: Information related to university operations that is relevant to faculty and staff, including new policies or procedures, changes to on-campus services, construction notices and more.
- Resources: Tools, templates, guides, instruction manuals, new training modules and other information that will help faculty and staff learn and grow.
Media and SFU News
If you have an idea and think it would make a great story for local or national media or for SFU News, please contact the Media Relations and Public Affairs team. SFU News stories support SFU’s institutional priorities, enhance our reputation and are relevant to external audiences.
Social media
We welcome amplification requests from all faculty and staff across SFU’s faculties, departments, VPs, campuses and programs. To submit a request for consideration, please share links to your posted social media content to the SFU Communicators' MS Teams channel, "Content Amplification." If you are not a member of MS Teams and would like to be added, please contact Fiona Burrows.
SFU Events Calendar
If you have an upcoming event to promote among faculty and staff across SFU, please post your event to the SFU Events Calendar via Livewhale and be sure to tag it for the faculty and staff audiences. Learn more about submitting an event.
