Course: IAT 359 Mobile Computing
Description: Happy Planet is a carbon tracking app that encourages users to reduce their carbon footprint by walking instead of driving. This is done by challenging users to reach increasingly larger step goals which in turn reward them with sun/moon points to grow their plant. Each sapling has 3 main stages of evolution to visualize the impacts of the user’s lifestyle changes. Carbon footprint calculations and data are gathered through the Carbon Interface API and the Expo Pedometer sensor for step tracking.
