Undergraduate Reactivation
If you have not attended SFU for three or more consecutive terms, your student account will be deactivated. To resume your studies, you need to apply for reactivation or readmission.
To understand the differences between reactivation and readmission and to review the criteria for both, visit the SFU Calendar. For more information about readmission, visit SFU Admissions.
If you'd like to reactivate your account, please review the steps and timelines below, then submit the reactivation form to proceed.

See Returning to Studies.
Reactivation periods and timelines
Reactivation requests are processed during specific periods throughout the year. When you submit your request will affect how and when you receive your enrolment appointment.
| Regular reactivation period | Late reactivation period | |
|---|---|---|
| Spring | May 1 - September 30 | October 1 to the first week of classes in January |
| Summer | September 1 - January 31 | February 1 to the first week of classes in May |
| Fall | January 1 - May 31 | June 1 to the first week of classes in September |
Reactivation requests submitted during the regular reactivation period are processed in accordance with the University’s enrolment priority policy. Requests submitted during the late reactivation period are assigned enrolment appointments based on availability, on a first-come, first-served basis.
