CBC News BC recently interviewed Myriam Juda, a research associate at Ralph Mistlberger's Circadian Rhythms and Sleep Lab, regarding the health implications concerning permanent daylight time in B.C.

Some of these implications include increased risk of cardiovasculator disease and diabetes.

Along with five other researchers from Simon Fraser University and the University of BC, an open letter was sent to the province to reconsider the change to permanent daylight saving time and to look into standard time.

"Our mental health will be better under permanent standard time than permanent daylight saving time. There would be less fatigue," Juda says.
