Prince Rupert /SFU Language and Culture Teacher Education Program

 

These graduates of the Prince Rupert /SFU Language and Culture Teacher Education Program collaborated on writing the book First Nations Teachers:Identity and Community, Struggle and Change . There are more than 150 graduates of our community- based teacher education programs who are teaching and /or developing language and culture curriculum in band controlled and provincial schools across British Columbia.

 

These students completed programs in the following locations:

  • Mt Currie (1973 - 1978)
  • North Okanagan (1977 - 1981)
  • Prince Rupert (1981 - 1995)
  • Alert Bay (1986 - 1989)
  • Kamloops (1995 - 2007)
