What is global citizenship?

What is global citizenship? As defined by Oxfam, a global citizen is someone who is aware of and understands the wider world - and their place in it. Taking an active role in their communities, global citizens work with others to make our planet more equal, fair and sustainable.

For Victor Guerin, being a global citizen means revitalizing the hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ language and pressing for Indigenous rights. A recent master’s graduate in Linguistics for a First Nations Language, he has now entered his PhD at SFU.
