FCAT Research Support Team

FCAT's Research Support Team is comprised of a Research Grants Facilitator, Research Coordinator and Associate Dean Research (ADR). The Research Support Team supports the development of competitive research grant applications and provides a range of research services for FCAT. FCAT's Research Grants Facilitator and Research Coordinator guide researchers in selecting grant opportunities, provide feedback on proposals, and organize grant writing workshops. The ADR reviews and approves all FCAT grant proposals. We are here to help guide you in your research journey, so please get in touch with any questions you might have.  

OFFICE OF RESEARCH SERVICES (ORS)

Research Services supports research administration and ensures compliance with University and sponsor policies and procedures for both grants and contracts. Final submission and approval of all Tri-Agency research grants also goes through ORS. Notable resources provided by ORS include:

INSTITUTIONAL STRATEGIC AWARDS OFFICE (ISA)

OFFICE OF THE VICE-PRESIDENT RESEARCH AND INTERNATIONAL

The Office of the Vice-President, Research and International oversees research at SFU which includes creating institutional research agendas, advocating for the advancement of research, and establishing University-level policies.

OFFICE OF RESEARCH ETHICS (ORE)

Research Ethics oversees approvals for all research that involves human participants.  

SFU EQUITY, DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION (EDI)

The EDI executive subcommittee outlines SFU's values, priorities and commitments with regards to equity, diversity and inclusion. It has partnered with the library to develop a comprehensive EDI resource guide

Research Accounting works closely with ORS to administer funds from research grants and contracts.
