Grad Conversations

Grad Conversations are casual, themed conversations where SFU graduate students and selected guests are invited to discuss topics central to being a graduate student at SFU. No presentations and no Power Points—just space for dialogue and open discussion.

Attend Grad Conversations and connect with other grad students, ask questions, learn more about a topic, and share your experiences, feedback, and ideas.

They are hybrid events. You have the option to attend in-person in the Research Commons or online via Zoom. We do not record these events.

Grad Conversations are proudly hosted by Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies and SFU Library's Research Commons.

If you require any accommodations in order to fully access and participate, please contact All communication will be kept confidential. Please contact us as early as possible as some accommodations will require lead time to arrange (i.e. CART, ASL).

We will announce the Grad Conversation topics, dates, and times below.
