Luka Pejić was born in Osijek, Croatia. He received his BA and MA degrees in History and English Language and Literature from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Osijek. In 2019, he earned a Ph.D. in Modern History from the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at the University of Zagreb. He specializes in the history of marginal social groups and the late nineteenth- and early twentieth-century European labor movement. Pejić is the author of numerous scientific articles, has edited several collections of works, and has published two books (in Croatian): History of Classical Anarchism in Croatia: Fragments of Subversion (2016) and In the Anarchist Camp: The Life of Ivan Zepp (2025). He translates historiographical works from English and has also translated the book Bandits by the British historian Eric Hobsbawm into Croatian. He works at the Department of History at the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences in Osijek.
