Mayka Muñoz es doctora en Historia Contemporánea por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid y Especialista Universitaria en Archivística por la UNED. También es miembro del grupo de investigación reconocido por la UCM: Relaciones de género en el mundo contemporáneo: una perspectiva interdisciplinar desde la Historia, la Geografía y el Derecho. Trabaja como archivera e investigadora senior en el Archivo de Historia del Trabajo de la Fundación Cultural 1º de Mayo.
Sus líneas de trabajo se centran en la historia de las relaciones de género durante el franquismo y la transición en España, así como en la historia del movimiento obrero en esas etapas. Sobre estos temas ha publicado diversas obras y participado en numerosos congresos y seminarios. También está involucrada en proyectos de recuperación y difusión de la memoria obrera y democrática, así como en la historia pública, todo ello abordado desde una perspectiva de género.
Mayka Muñoz holds a PhD in Contemporary History from the Complutense University of Madrid and a University Specialization in Archival Studies from the UNED. She is also a member of the research group recognized by the UCM: Gender Relations in the Contemporary World: An Interdisciplinary Perspective from History, Geography, and Law. She works as an archivist and senior researcher at the Labor History Archive of the Fundación Cultural 1º de Mayo.
Her research focuses on the history of gender relations during the Franco regime and the Spanish transition, as well as on the history of the labour movement during these periods. She has published various works on these topics and has participated in numerous conferences and seminars. She is also involved in projects for the recovery and dissemination of workers’ and democratic memory, as well as in public history, all approached from a gender perspective.
