PDP Graduate Andrea Brown receives CPF BC Teacher Award

August 01, 2017

Since 1992, CPF BC & Yukon has been proud to offer a financial award to students in completing their post-secondary education studies in teaching French as a Second Language (Immersion, Intensive, or Core) in BC or Yukon. The CPF BC & Yukon Teacher Award is valued at $2,000, and up to two awards are granted each year. The selection this year was particularly challenging as many fine graduates had applied.

CPF BC & Yukon would like to congratulate the two winners for 2017: Andrea Brown, graduate of Simon Fraser University’s PDP French module in Elementary French Immersion and Katelyn Dyck, graduate of University of British Columbia’s Secondary Core French Specialist Program.

CPF BC & Yukon applauds their efforts and encourages more young people to consider going into teaching French as a career to facilitate the growth of FSL programs across BC & Yukon.
