Visiting Scholars

The Faculty of Education accepts a limited number of visiting scholars to enrich research collaborations with colleagues across Canada and around the world. If you wish to apply to the Faculty of Education as a visiting scholar, you must first contact one or two faculty members with research interests closely related to yours.

HOW TO APPLY

Step 1: Submit to a Faculty Sponsor

You will need to submit the following documents with your application directly to your desired Faculty member:

  • A letter explaining why you would like to become a visiting scholar at SFU, including the dates and duration of your intended stay
  • A current Curriculum Vitae
  • A summary of your research interests

Note: A response from a faculty member may take up to six weeks. The Faculty has limited capacity to accept visiting scholars, and we are not able to offer extensive support.
