Undergraduate Advising
Introducing Advisor Link
We’re excited to announce SFU has launched Advisor Link, an online booking system for academic advising appointments. Starting October 26, 2021, you can login or get more information about Advisor Link. Click here for the instructional video. Note: Only students declared in an Education program will be able to book with an Education advisor through Advisor Link.
For non-Education students, please continue to email one of our three advisors directly.
For questions relating to non-Education courses or programs, please contact the appropriate departmental advisor.
Please read the following information before contacting an advisor for an appointment.
- Transcripts: Please attach a copy of your current advising transcript to all e-mails
- Minors: You can declare a minor in the Faculty of Education by email if you have the lower division courses complete or in-progress (after week 3). Please contact: educuga@sfu.ca
- Enrolment: If you have enrolment questions or issues, please contact: educuga@sfu.ca
- Teacher Education: Undergraduate advisors DO NOT advise on admission to the Professional Development Program (PDP). Learn more about the PDP here.

STUDENT RESPONSIBILITY
It is the responsibility of each student to be aware of faculty regulations as stated in the Calendar. Departmental and faculty advisors and staff are available to give advice and guidance. However, the ultimate responsibility for completeness and correctness of course selection, for compliance with and completion of program and degree requirements and for observance of regulations and deadlines rests with the student.
