I am now a first-year Ph.D student at Database System Lab in Simon Fraser University, my supervisor is Professor Jiannan Wang . I received my Master degree from Tsinghua University, Beijing, in June 2020. I received my Bachelor degree from Tsinghua University, Beijing in July 2017.

WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO COME TO SFU?

From June to September 2019, I visited the laboratory of Dr. Jiannan Wang at Simon Fraser University (SFU). During my time in this lab, I found the beautiful campus landscape and serious research atmosphere of SFU greatly appealing. SFU has a outstanding reputation in computer science, boasting famous faculty such as Profs. Jian Pei, Jiannan Wang, and Tianzheng Wang. I have also experienced firsthand the pleasant research atmosphere of SFU, and I am greatly attracted to its natural environment and idealistic instructors. Therefore, I believe the SFU computer science Ph.D. program is the best choice for me as I pursue a research career.
