Evo260 UV/vis Spectrophotometer
The Thermo Scientific Evolution 260 UV/vis spectrophotometer is is taken care of by the MBB Manager, Laboratory Operations. The Evo260 has an associated computer so in order to use the spec, please contact the Manager (details below) to gain access via SFU ID and password.
User Manual (equipment + software)
The Thermo Scientific Evolution 260 Bio spectrophotometer measures a wide variety of biological samples and its software (INSIGHT 2) offers pre-programmed assay methods. This instrument can be used for bacterial culture measurements, nucleic acid and protein purity and quantification, colourimetric assays, and time and temperature based kinetics.
Specifications include:
- 190 - 1,100 nm wavelength measurement range.
- Has Xenon flash lamp.
- Has Peltier single cell holder system with temperature range from 0 - 100C
