Degree Programs
With our wide range of degrees, you can tailor your program to your specific interests. Choose from a Bachelor of Science Degree in Molecular Biology and Biochemistry and additional Joint Degrees with either Chemistry, Business Administration or Computing Science. All of our programs include experiential learning opportunities allowing you to participate in a variety of hands-on laboratories, collaborative projects and professional activities while developing your writing, technical and critical thinking skills.
The MBB major program integrates Molecular Biology, Cell Biology, Genomics, Bioinformatics and Biochemistry to provide a broad foundation in the life sciences. In lower division courses students are immersed in the magic of this remarkable discipline, from the marvel of the genetic code to understanding the fascinating processes that make cells work. Flexibility in upper division course selection allows students to tailor the program to their own interests as well as meet the entry requirements for medical school and other professional and graduate programs. A diverse array of upper division courses cover topics such as Cancer, Microbial Pathogens, Immunology, Molecular Genetics, Structural Biology and, of course, the Biochemistry behind it all. The MBB honours program offers an intense research experience in a laboratory setting for students wanting to go on to graduate or other laboratory focused programs. Students wishing to obtain a specialization in bioinformatics may opt to obtain a Genomics certificate as part of their degree.VIEW PROGRAM REQUIREMENTS: |
