International Admission Requirements
Minimum Equivalent Qualifications
For admission to a Graduate Certificate or Diploma the requirement is a degree equivalent to a Simon Fraser University 4-year bachelor’s degree with a minimum overall grade equivalent to a B-.
Minimum Equivalent Qualifications
For admission to a master’s program, the qualifications listed are normally recognized as equivalent to a Simon Fraser University 4-year bachelor’s degree with minimum overall grade requirements.
Most SFU graduate programs will assess a Bologna compliant degree as equivalent to a 4-year degree.

Fast Track Admissions
Fast Track Admission Institutions
Pre-university education requires 12 years of study.
The Matura or Medjunarodna Matura (International Baccaulaureat) is required for admission to university level institutions.
The development of private unversities has recently occurred. Private universities must be approved by the Croatian National Council for Higher Education. Contact Graduate Studies Admissions to determine if a private university is recognized.
Bologna Note:
- Bologna signatory since 2001.
- The system offers three cycle - Bachelor’s (undergraduate, 180-240 ECTS credits), Master’s (graduate, 60-120 ECTS credits) and Doctoral degrees.
- Diploma Supplements are issued effective 2008
- ECTS credit system is in use. Grading system is as above.
