Curriculum & Instruction: Innovations in Mathematics Education MEd - Fall 2022


This two-year program is designed for K-12 school teachers who wish to:

  • explore innovations in mathematics education,
  • examine multiple perspectives on teaching and learning of mathematics, and
  • enhance their own teaching of mathematics.

Students will learn the latest research and innovations in mathematics education. Through guided methodologies they will also be scaffolded in the implementation of this research and innovations into their practice. 

This program has a proven track record of transforming teacher practice and student experiences in the mathematics classroom. Our graduates have become some of the most influential leaders in mathematics education in their districts, in their province (or territory), and in Canada.

Ideally Suited For

This program is aimed at K-12 teachers of mathematics who are looking to bring their teaching into alignment with the latest research and innovations in mathematics education.

  • Location: Whitehorse, Yukon
  • Classes: Fri. (4:30–9:00), Sat. (8:30–4:30) + Sun (9-1)/every 2-3weeks
  • Start Term: Fall 2022 (September)
  • End Term: Summer 2024 (May)
  • Applications Open: November 1, 2021

  • Tuition 2021/22*: $3,150.84/term
    *Subject to estimated 2% fee increase each September.
