access decision letters/letter content (conditions, funding offer)
Once applications are moved to the corresponding Decision bins, Graduate Studies runs a process to generate letters. Applicants receive an email notification, letting them know there is an SFU admission decision letter in their status portal.
- The applicant must log on to their secure Status Portal to access the letter.
- The decision letter is viewable on screen (with confetti for admits) and downloadable as a PDF.

How to Access Decisions letters/decision letter content
There are a few ways to access decisions letters and/or their content:
To view the letter, use The Reader:
- click Browse
- click on the corresponding decision bin (or use search)
- open the application and view the letter within the application (left tab, under Decision Letter).
To view and/or download the letter, use Slate Administration:
- Type the applicant's name in the search (top right)
- Click on the application tab
- Click Impersonate > Status Page (right side menu)
- Click View Update to view the letter/download the PDF
- Exit impersonation
To pull admission letter text (conditional text and/or funding offer text) for all candidates, use Slate Administration:
- Find the Decisions - All Applicants All Year query
- Click Run Query
- Click Export to retrieve data into Excel format
