A Reference is a specific material type within Slate. Useful points:
- Applicants add their referees’ names and contact information in application Step #3.
- Applications move from Awaiting Materials to the First Pass automatically when required references and materials are complete.
- Units can customize the number of references required (see below).
- Slate uses the terms referee/recommender and reference/recommendation interchangeably.
