impersonate/stop impersonate
The impersonate feature allows staff to edit admission applications and materials on behalf of an applicant.
We recommend:
- making changes in the administrative side of Slate instead.
- obtaining any request for changes in writing from the applicant.
- not using impersonate > applications after the applicant has submitted or after the program application deadline has passed.
Access to goGRAD/Slate
- Access Slate's administrative side:
https://gograd.sfu.ca/manage/ - Access/share Slate's Reader (review) side:
https://gograd.sfu.ca/manage/reader/ - To access Slate's Reader from the administrative side, click the laptop icon:
From the admission application tab, on the right-hand side menu, you will see two options:
- Impersonate > Applications: this will allow you to enter the application on behalf of the applicant.
- Impersonate > Status Page: this will allow you to enter the applicant’s portal on behalf of the applicant.
To stop impersonate - when you impersonate user, a grey banner will appear at the top of the view. Click the X to stop impersonate:
Notes:
- The Application is where an applicant selects a program to apply to, enters biographical, academic history, test scores, employment, funding, and emergency contact information. They also pay the admission fee as the last step.
- The Status Portal is where applicants upload checklist items (ie., supporting files such as transcripts, writing samples) and add refereee information.
