With a foundation in Early Childhood Care and Education, I am deeply committed to championing high-quality, accessible early years services within our communities. Pursuing my MBA has empowered me to amplify this advocacy on a broader scale, equipping me to build capacity and cultivate more equitable spaces.

How would you describe your research or your program to a family member?
SFU's MBA program aims to cultivate leaders to possess the heart, mind, skills, and courage to achieve great things. It is never about short-term gain or just profit, but the long-term well-being of the community where individuals can truly flourish.

Empathy, Integrity, Equity
Have you been the recipient of any major or donor-funded awards? If so, please tell us which ones and a little about how the awards have impacted your studies and/or research
I am a recipient of the BC Graduate Scholarship. This scholarship has been instrumental in enabling me to undertake this transformative journey, amplifying advocacy for high-quality, accessible early years services on a broader scale.
What have been the most valuable lessons you've learned along your graduate student journey (or in becoming a graduate student)?
As the course progresses, your confidence deepens through the accumulation of insights, the refinement of new skills, and the opportunity to apply them in meaningful ways.
What are some tips for balancing your academic and personal life?
Be prepared and realistic. To fully enjoy the courses and what they have to offer, you will need to scale back on other commitments. We all only have 24 hours a day and need to eat and sleep.
