Cher Hill

Assistant Professor
Faculty of Education

Dr. Hill is deeply invested in advancing and studying educative experiences that contribute to more connected, thriving, and just communities (both human and more-than-human). Collaborative knowledge creation across knowledge systems, as well as methodological approaches that are reflexive and action-oriented, are central to her scholarship. This integrated approach reflects her understanding that knowledge and action, as well as research, teaching and service, are intertwined. She focuses primarily on three areas of study that contribute to flourishing within communities, including land-centred, relational, and anti-colonial education; the work of teachers; and critical practitioner-research methodologies.
