Red Dress Day with the Faculty of Education

May 01, 2023

May 5 is also known as Red Dress Day; a day when we wear red to remember our stolen sisters, to raise awareness of colonial and gender-based violence, and to honour the families and communities that live with the grief and anger of losing loved ones.

We encourage you to wear red on May 5, take time to visit our installations in the Education Building, Burnaby Campus from May 1st to May 8th, and access the resources shared on this page to raise awareness and illustrate our support and commitment in lifting the 231 Calls to Justice from the National Inquiry into Missing and Murdered Indigenous Girls.
