Get tenant insurance
Tenant Insurance protects you from costs to replace your lost or damaged belongings, expenses incurred because your home is damaged and cannot be lived in and personal liability coverage (e.g.: causing damage to other people’s property).
Room inventory report
Our policy is to have all residents submit a room condition inventory. Review within 7 - 10 days after move in. Fill out your room inventory condition form at MyPlace@SFU
Your SFU student ID
New and returning students must visit a Registrar and Information Services office at one of the three campuses that is most convenient to them to request or renew their student ID.
Week of welcome
Residence week of welcome is an opportunity for all residents to meet your new neighbours, explore the area and city you live in, and prepare for the upcoming term.
SFU bookstore
The SFU Bookstore is the one stop shop for all your school supplies and room needs. Check out the bookstore located on MBC and get everything you need for a successful term.
SFU Safe app
SFU Safe is the university's official safety mobile app. It lets you easily access important safety and security information, resources, and services with just a few clicks—whenever and wherever you are on any of our three campuses.
Wildlife safety
Burnaby Mountain is home to a variety of wildife. To keep wildlife and our community safe, we ask everyone to not feed, or approach them, and keep all waste properly sorted and disposed of to create a safe community for residents and wildlife that live on the Mountain.
Smoking policy
Smoking is prohibited inside and outsife of all residence buildings. SFU is dedicated to promoting healthy campuses. The health risks associated with smoking and secondhand smoke are well-documented.
Mail in residence
Current residents can pick up their mail at the front desk. Amazon lockers are also now available in residence. Please make sure to update your mailing address when you are moving out.
