Wherever you are, “Drop, Cover, & Hold On!”

Join SFU in the annual SFU ShakeOut earthquake drill today, October 17th at 10:17am. The Great BC ShakeOut is an annual province-wide earthquake drill that provides each of us a valuable opportunity to practice the internationally recognized “Drop, Cover, Hold on” procedures.

• Before the drill:
  Download the SFU snap app and enable push notifications to receive emergency messages on your mobile device. At 10:17am you will receive a notification to start the drill. Alerts will also be displayed on digital screens and SFU managed computers.
  
  
• Drop, Cover, Hold On at 10:17am
  Wherever you are at 10:17am practice “DROP, COVER, HOLD ON” procedures and follow along to the ShakeOut video. Encourage drill participation in your classrooms and/or work spaces.
   

• SFU ShakeOut event tables:
  Drop by the SFU ShakeOut zones at each campus today from 10:00am - 12:00pm to learn more about the drill, get prepared, and win prizes.
