Drs. Hali Kil and Joanna Peplak in the Department of Psychology are seeking a graduate (preferred) or senior undergraduate student to fill the position of Project Manager on a new project on resilience and well-being among climate-displaced youth. This position is a 12-month contract role starting July 22, 2024 (with possibility of extension). Workload may vary between 5 to 10 hours per week, and in-person work or meetings on the Burnaby campus may be required during regular business hours.
Responsibilities include: drafting study procedural documentation; supporting with ethics protocol development; recruiting, training, and managing the research team; participant recruitment; data management; creating and distributing participant facing documents; communicating with community partners; and other tasks as needed. Opportunities to co-author publications may arise for qualified candidates with relevant prior experience.
Graduate students who have prior experience with youth-engaged research or qualitative thematic analyses and/or have lived experience of climate-related displacement are especially encouraged to apply.
Rate of pay: $28 to $30/hour for a graduate student or $24 to $26/hour for a senior undergraduate student, contingent on prior experience and inclusive of benefits.
