Campbell, Friesen, Wahn, and Wu go for the Lind

SCA alumni Hannah Campbell, Suzanne Friesen, Graeme Wahn, and Qiuli Wu are all in the running for the 2021 Lind Prize, which is administered by The Polygon Gallery. As part of the nomination process, they'll all be included in an exhibition at The Polygon from September 29 – October 17, 2021. Good luck, everyone! Read more HERE.

Chandra-directed on the big screen

Directed by SCA alumni Arthi Chandra, Kate Besworth's Done/Undone is heading for the big screen on August 30 & 31, 2021, at 8:00 PM, presented by Bard on the Beach at Vancouver International Film Festival's Vancity Theatre. More HERE. Also, if you're heading to the soon-to-be-renamed Ryerson University this fall, Chandra could be your teacher!

rice & beans theatre at the Shadbolt

rice & beans theatre's (founded by SCA alumni Pedro Chamale and Derek Chan, this year celebrating the 11th birthday of rice & beans) Made In Canada: an agricultural song cycle – described here as a "theatre performance [that] amplifies the narratives of the people who harvested our food and nourished us throughout the pandemic" – has been announced as part of the fall schedule at the Shadbolt Centre for the Arts, running October 1 & 2, 2021.
